January Reading Round Up

Rather than attempting to write separate posts for each book I read, I have decided to try a monthly round up to fill in everything from that month that doesn't end up being its own unique post.

So what else did I read in January?

Besides The Messy Lives of Book People by Phaedra Patrick and Hester by Laurie Lico Albanese, I also read:

The Angel Creek Girls by Leslie Wolfe - This was the first book in the Detective Kay Sharp series.  I've read a middle one, so had to go back to the beginning to catch up.

Going Rogue by Janet Evanovich - The newest in the Stephanie Plum series, these are always a must read for something light hearted and fun.

The Innocent Girls by B.R. Spangler - With my new Kindle, I got a few months of Kindle Unlimited, so I went back to read all the Detective Casey White books I had missed.

First Girl to Die by Helen Phifer - Another Kindle Unlimited pick to work my way through another series in which  I had missed out on the early books.

The Vibrant Years by Sonali Dev - One of my Amazon First Reads picks and ended up being really happy with my choice.

Their Resting Place by B.R. Spangler - Review forthcoming, it was for a book tour, but I needed to read it now, not later in February.

The Wild Robot by Peter Brown - I was covering a 4th grade class and we read several chapters of this book.  Their main teacher lent me a copy because I needed to know what happened.

So to launch the year, nine books, two ARCs, one blog tour, and a few series that I want to make sure I get caught up while I still have my current Kindle Unlimited subscription, so I expect a few more of those in the months to come.
